That is a serif'd D. Unfortunately, this is the more common variety.:(

That is a serif too. The ball serif is the less common one. I do not see many BU examples of that style in my area.

NICE FINDS. I FOUND THE 28s 004 IN MY BOOK LAST WEEK. I TOOK IT OUT TO MARK ON THE 2x2 WHAT IT IS, NOW I HAVE AN EMPTY SPOT IN MY BOOK, CAUSE I CANT FIND IT. TIME TO TEAR UP THE LIVING ROOM.
