Andy, i know the feeling

in upstate NY , its always a treat to find a "S" every now & then

just last week - i found a 71S & a 59D on a dead end road turn around near a fishing spot on one of the Fingerlakes - just those 2 - you never know were one may turn up

Thanks for replying ... I will post the picture of 70S soon ... you are right.
on Friday I found on the bank's floor 1951 cent ... just was waiting for me to pick it up ...
I will probably start collecting Canada cents, since I am finding them among Lincolns ...

Have you found any foreign coins yet (Bahamas, Panama, etc)? I find alot in the rolls here in NC because we are so close to FL and the cruise ships. Once in awhile I will find coins from Canada. Joe

"S" stands for Special. That's why we save them all. I get maybe 2 rolls of Canada
as i average 36 bags of pennies per year. Panama, Curacau, Bahamas, bermuda, and
a Euro now and then, maybe an ugly German penny sized thing also. It akes an entire year to find a roll of both 82 SDC and SDZ and maybe 9 months for a roll of 69P. Save'em all!! Only cost a penny!!

As I pull cents 68-74S i see regularly and for some reason 68S 70S and 73S seem to be scarcer than the others. I did get not to long ago a 1999S cent. Which was kinda cool. Nothing worth anything but still nice to find a modern S. When I do halves I get a load of S coins. One box of halves I scored 14 1981S halves. didnt know what to do with them all. Some of the S's looked different but I dont know if they were anything special. I also have some other half dollar S's 1976S 81S 84S 85S 86S 88S i think 90S 01S 03S
