First attempt at posting an image so bear with me. Not sure if this is anything so thought I would get some opinions. The area in question is the slanted top portion of the center column.

This has been discussed on coppercoins. This is the link (http://www.coppercoins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3786&highlight=1998d)to that discussion. Hope it helps. Maybe Bob will be by and further assist with this. This may be (http://www.coppercoins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1603&highlight=1998d) the other part of the discussion on coppercoins. The first photo has been removed but I think it is what we are talking about here.

Hi Sandra....Good to see you here too! As far as this slanted roof, It has been seen and discussed for a few years now. I still don't know what caused it as I am inclined to believe it is something other than a doubled die. I do believe John Wexler has listed it though.

This thread got me to thinking that I might have had one of these so I went to looking and found it. Must have put it back as a possible a long time ago.

Does anyone know the Wexler listing for this 1998D. Was given an Unc. roll today. It had one of these in it and would like to put a number with it if there is one.

Thanks

I have one of these also, but I don't have the Wexler number for it. I will see if I can find it for you.

I don't at all recall this thread. Looking at that '98D it does look more like a die dent or some sort of die damage rather than a DDR. There's that '04P DDR which is similar but looks more like a tilted column and roof, I don't see it on CC either. The '04P is listed as WDDR-007 (I hope this doesn't throw this thread into chaos) I don't have the Wexler # for the '98D.

I got to the thread too late I guess. the original photo posted has been deleted. But if it's the same as Steven's then I get the jest of it. I've seen that in my search but ignored it chauking it up to die damage. If I run into it again I'll hang on to it until somebody figures out what it is.
