Hi:
Well Heidi bought the other Alan Herbert book that was left at the bbok store. Apparently this is a real good book to have! So I got an extra.
Tomorrow, I will get another box of coins from the bank to search. Here is the contest rules:
You will be guessing the year of the first wheat cent we find. We do average about 17-20 per box around here and that, amazingly, has been pretty consistent since we started searching - we have never had a box without a wheat cent that was circulated cents.
Now I know there is aot of dates so here it is as follows.
For any dates between 1909-1919 pick teens.
For any dates between 1920-1929 pick twenty.
For any dates between 1930-1939 pick thirty.
All other dates are single dates ie. 1940, 1941 thru 1958.
No mint marks needed.
One date per member.
The person coming closest to the date without going over wins the book. It is your responsibility to PM me with your entry after the contest closes. Just include your date and address.
Date picking will close at 2:00 pm on Friday, 12/16/2011. I will start the search alittle later - so we should know by early evening. In the unlikely sistuation that we dont find any - it will be the next box.
Good luck!
Roger
