I thought I would do something fun (not for once lol) but for LCR. :)
I bought some rolls today from my favorite little antique shop, listed them on Ebay and will donate 15% of the sale to LCR.
Don't laugh but... yes, I did state "unopened / unsearched by me, because it's true and yes I was a girl scout :)

If you are interested in the AUCTION (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221185053285) please check it out! It's a 3 day auction.

Nice pick ups Karah. Do you have a fever? Why aren't you searching those?! :p

If that roll from 1962 has S mint marks on them, I'm putting in a high bid. ;)

Thanks, oh great what a way to start off my auction with a mislabeled roll. That 1962 roll has D on the cents. So I just checked all the rolls, looks like whoever labeled those must have been hitting the eggnog, but I'm the fool for not knowing lol :P I will be making the corrections to the auction now. Thank for bringing that up.

I bought extras for myself as well :)

Here is the new link. There was a bid on them, so I had to cancel & relist the item to be able to make the corrections.

Maybe you already addressed it Karah, but one of the 1955 rolls says D instead of S, I assume it's also the same egg-nog drinker?

I thought I would post a question I received regarding these rolls from a member here. Hope this might be helpful to others that are considering to bid on these rolls.

Hi "member"
I bought them at an antique / coin shop. They have a small hoard of rolls both in in plastic and OBW's. They have been there for a long time now, I have been slowing buying them over the past 2 years. They receive their rolls from people selling off their personal items, like antiques, gold, coins and jewelery. I hope that no one ever buys the lot, otherwise I will have no place to buy them lol.

I don't know if and when they were searched. I would assume at some point in time someone looked at them in order to have them transferred to plastic...? Sorry I have no idea who owned them before me. I just go through their boxes of rolls when I run out.

Karah
