It is my first time purchase of a raw error cent.
The coin is said to be "2001 Broadstrike Error, 21.4mm, MS64 Red".
Questions... is the attribution correct? Should I have it attributed and slabbed by a tpg? Will slabbing the coin help protect it from deteriorating more from the possibly fatal verdigris invasion?

Thank You,
Jean

It is a broadstrike, but I don't know if I would call it 'Red'. As far as having it slabbed, it is a matter of preference. Any good storage could keep this thing from getting much worse since broadstriking could expose more of the zinc core that corrodes easily when exposed to air.

Thanks fellas!
I definitely agree with it not being red. And, I cannot see how such a coin can get any sort of MS grade anyway. Perhaps a new color could be GB, golden-brown.
I will Intercept Shield slab it myself.
