I check for the 1968 D DDR. While I have it I check the mint mark too.

The DDR is nice too. While you check for the MM, might as well check the reverse.

I found it in circulation. I submitted it to NGC under their variety plus service. They returned it to me in an MS65RD holder with no mention of the variety. I had to send it right back to them to fix the problem. They fixed their mistake and paid the freight both ways.
At the time I submitted it there had only been seven(I think) of them previously graded by NGC(according to their census). Since I have gotten mine back they have graded a dozen or so more, most of them high-end mint-state examples. Somebody must have found a BU roll with a bunch of them in it.

I've been searching for me one. That and the 1980 DDO.
