    Unanswered: Uploading Pics

    Hi everyone,
    I haven't posted anything since 2008 and am excited to be back. Does anyone know how to convert images from .bmp format to a .jpg? I bought a new microscope/camera for Christmas and all of the pictures save as bitmap images and I cannot upload these to the site. If a conversion is not necessary then what else will work? Thanks.

    OK.. dose your microscope/camera have a way to change file formatting when taking pics? as far as what is already taken... a simple way.. with a program most computers have is to use PAINT... open in paint...click file...save as... when it pops up..1st line is the file name 2nd file type... you can change the file from .bmp format to a .jpg format.... others may have another way...

    This is exactly what I do as well. Another option would be to upload them to a photo sharing site first and then attach them to your posts.

    Thanks, converter worked and I can also save it as a jpg rather than a bmp, as was suggested. Any way I can convert all of them at once? I have about 80+ coin pics to convert. Thanks again for the help!
