Coin Albums...
I currently use a Dansco album to keep my coppers in but Im not sure how safe this is in the long run as far as keeping them brilliant and red. Just wondered what are some better coin books on the market?

None of the album 'books' are safe, especially the Dansco. If you want your coins to stay bright red, use archival safe flips and 20 pocket pages. Another advantage is that you don't have an album with slots dictating which coins belong in your collection. You decide for yourself what you collect.

I agree with this. Get some large 3-ring binders and the 20 pocket sleeves. Not only will you protect your coins better, but also every album has different ideas of what "belongs" in a collection. I'll bet that you'll quickly find yourself expanding on what they suggest! Those seem geared toward the more casual collector.

I use 20 pocket pages. For the good stuff, I rinse with acetone, put them into an airtite, put the airtite into a 2x2 and slip it into the pockets. I'm confident these coins will stay red (on toned in some cases) for decades or longer.
I'm with Chuck, albums and folders make for nice presentation but NOTHING else. Your coins are not protected from toning/browning in these, in fact, it might make them tone faster. I also like the freedom of collecting what I want and NOT what some album maker thinks I should collect. For example, for most issues I have mulitiples and albums do not accommodate that.

I have 30 pocket pages for 1.5 x 1.5 flips for any coin I keep. I also have a Dansco just because I want to fill one. Everything around 35 on up is MS

Richard S. Cooper Some have asked about my images I use, and I'm glad to say I've completed a DVD of these. Ask if you are interested. Newer members like these.
