I see a lot of reflections. Is that coin in a proof set case? I also see a big fat fingerprint on the obv. Please don't tell us it's on the coin. I'm hoping it's on the case.

I don't see an RPM either...no matter how much I zoom in on it.

When I zoomed way in I see flat doubling I believe you are referring to. That is md. Flat and shelflike.

That thumb print is the first thing I saw too. It is really hard to judge anything with all of the reflections. I am still trying to figure out why there is an inverted mirror 19 in the pics. Proof coins are a real pain to shoot.

edit: I am seeing what might POSSIBLY be split serifs, but as I said, there is too much reflection to be certain. You would probably have to have one of us look at it in-hand unless you can get some different photos up.

I also see a Notch on the bottom right serif the 1983 S RPM on cc shows the same notch
either clear pictures with less reflections or an in hand examine by someone may show what this notch is.

can you take some more pics?
    no or less reflections

NOTE this is not RPM 1 on cc. placement is wrong
    but why the notch?
    I do not have a 1983 proof
Dose the MM look normal or is it notched?
