Are you reducing by pixels or file size? File size works better.
You can also upload to a site like Flickr and copy n paste the bbc code with good results.

So sad ... My reverse consumption engine was a broken fuel gauge ... gonna look at coins now. John

John, I'm using paint.net and reducing by pixel size...it starts out like 4000x3000 and I reduce to 1200x900.....I didn't see an option for file size but maybe I'm missing something
Your image "starts out at 4000x3000 pixels".
Then, I figure that your camera has a 12 MB capacity. Correct?
I would like to see the file image of this 4000x3000 image.
I have successfully transported file sizes of 22 Mb on a Yahoo email account.
Would you be willing to send me this 12 Mb file, if you have a Yahoo email account?
Your pics are really good, Roger. Very natural looking. To me that's my main goal with pics - natural. I don't know much but experience has taught me that lighting is the key to natural looking shots. Before shooting, I view my coins with a 3X glass under the same light I'm shooting under. I then strive to attain that same image digitally. I rarely ever do mind you but the process helps at least. The few times I've gotten it right also required the least editing in post which tells me my lighting was correct. I personally have never succeeded in reproducing a natural looking shot in post so now I put much effort into lighting than any one aspect. When you can shoot these big toners like you've posted and make 'em look "live", you are doing it right. Nice job, sir! 🖒
Wow...I'm feeling pretty humbled right now...I am lucky to know which end of the camera to point at the coin.....last week I was asking Ray for a bayonet adapter, but I had no clue what it was called....it took me 3 PM's to explain it...and I'm just playing with my settings to see what happens.
I'm guessing it to do with me reducing the size of my images to post them on here.....do you know a way around that ?
Your second set has better clarity at 1000% mag compared to the first set... If I remember correctly the less light (Smaller aperture) the sharper the image and the more light (Larger aperture) the less sharp!!!

(A.K.A. Elmer Fudd) Be verwy verwy quiet... I'm hunting coins!!! Good Hunting!!!
