    1977- letter on rim?

I couldn't find this anywhere, not sure what caused this. I did noticed the u on the rim is the same width as the u in united. The c to the left could be a scratch.

Probably PSD that you can find in the glossary (http://www.lincolncentforum.com/terminology-list-p/). It is not uncommon to see impressions from other coins. Excellent pics!!

I think it's damage because it has a tiny bit of metal smeared sort of over the inside rim edge at the base of the U.

It would be virtually impossible for 2 dropped letters to appear on the rim. Looks like damage.

The rim on the rev looks to be flattened so I am on the PSD train... Looks like some one may have tried their hand at a garage job!!!
