    Varieties of the 1982 LC

This has probably been discussed ad-naseum but, I cannot find anything that I can digest [sorry exhausted].

    1982:
    P and D
Copper and zinc [I believe some sources I've seen also use the term brass or bronze]
    Small date and large date

In various combinations, the mint has created at least 7 varieties.

I know that a SD, Denver in copper was found and is extremely rare.

My question is, Which other of these [if any] is worth searching for?

82 Small date zincs in MS condition should be held, They were made so poorly that they will be a bit scarce in the future.
Even a fool can look wise if he keeps his mouth closed.

You can buy a set of all 7 uncs for $1-10.
You can buy a set of all 7 rolls in unc for $75-150.

I agree with uglycent, the 82P SD zinc is a tougher roll to find. The LD D zinc is also a bit tough, followed by the SD P copper.
The others like LD D copper are most common, LD P copper and zinc are pretty easy, SD D zinc is not too bad but many are bumpy or stained.

It's a fun group to try to put together as a roll set of 7. You can snag the easy ones for a few dollars a roll then look at dealers or shops selling rolls, you can often tell by the end coin and some do not price them by the type so you might even get the tough ones for cheap if you can find them.

If you find a SD D copper you strike it rich but there might only be a few.
