    1994P 180 deg. rotated

    Additional Information
    Date: 1994

I've had my share of magician's coin finds so I thoroughly examined this one under the scope. I cannot find any tampering. Neither side will rotate. (Maybe you all can come up with a debunk.) I do believe it is genuine. Hope there is enough visible of both sides in the "mirror" shot to be convincing. Partial rim shots of obv. and rev. included to help with the diagnosis.

Very cool! How rare is this anomaly? Maybe minted in Canada.

I see a line of some sort between the bottom of the bust and rim closest to the rim from the west edge and looks as if it goes all the way to the east edge??? It may be from die wear but I can not tell for sure... The image blurred to much at 600%... Also I noticed in your second pic that the orientation is correct and in the mirror pic the design is backwards Sorry I just couldn't resist being a smart a%& On your close ups I do not see any lines indicating a fake... I think it is a nice find!!!

After visiting the Resource I note that there is a '94 rotated die but its 165 degrees not 180. looking at my coin again, it is not exactly 180 either. I'm assuming it is the same 165 degree as the one on the resource. Just as happy with the find though.

Yours does appear to be the 165 degrees rotated reverse George. Congratulations!

That's a really nice find and probably hard to notice. In the rush to flip it over it isn't easy to keep track of which end is "up" on the other side.

I think this one is well known, listed in Ken Potters book "strike it rich with pocket change".

You can see the listing here:
