Fed. Reserve (Miami)- Converting to the New Internal Cash Transactional System
https://www.frbservices.org/files/co...nouncement.pdf
A little tidbit happening this weekend.
Doesn't mean much to us here, but noticed on the announcement, the tags are changing on the shipments for those who might have an interest.
I know....... Big News? Big Big.

Now all they have to do is actually have the change over completed my Monday morning or there will be a big OOPS

I'm not sure I understand Cliff. Is this bank taking care of it's own cash supply and not depending on other sources?

I wonder how long it will take (if they ever do it???) for all the money only being data.
No more BEP printing, no trucks, no guards, no replacing worn out bills, just numbers on the cloud. Scary thought!

I stumbled upon this looking for information for another post. The only thing that caught my interest (I'm not a currency hound) was the mention of the change in tags on shipments, which made me think of the old canvas bags and are no longer used.
This is the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve in Atlanta.
Don't really think it means anything other than they are changing some of their internal procedures to be more efficient for selling/distributing/ tracking "physical cash" disbursements to customers (Armored truck companies, banks, etc)
