    Nickels

I've been going through about $400 in nickels a week just roll searching for old coins and silver. Is there a list of die varieties in Jefferson Nickels? Thought I could pull the certain dates as I go through them and use the scope to look them before I toss them.
I'm only wanting die varieties valued at more than $100. Not real minor coins.
    Thanks in advance friends!

Are there any regular Jeffs in any grade worth over $100?
Some of them are really nice but I didn't think there are a lot of people collecting them.
    I used to Growing Up.

eBay, being about as close as we can get to pure free market capitalism, is where I go to see what things are worth on any given day. Sold items, not listed. This can change day to day with the ever changing market, due to the powers that be but a good, quick and easy rule of thumb, IMHO.

    Thanks again Jon.
You're right about Ebay's "sold" filter working in the advanced search.
I use it all the time also.

Although Lincolns are what I search, I have put a full set of Jefferson's together in MS with all the proofs and major varieties. I still add to it as I find others to go with it. I believe it will be a sleeper set for a while, but the early ones are getting hard to come by in MS or FS for the serious collector.

I think finding $100+ nickels in circulation is pretty slim.
There are some DDOs and RPMs but for most of them you would be very lucky to find one in circulation in high enough grade to be over $100. Same with full steps, even if you find a rare one in circulated grades it would be hard to get $100+.

It's still a fun series for putting together folders from 38 up or finding occasional wartime silvers, but that stuff won't make $100 for a single find.

Thank you all for your comments. Thought there may be some more valuable ones. Believe I will stick to looking varieties in LC's and just look nickels for silver and really old coins.
    appreciate it though
