Hi, recently retired and have a new hobby Lincolns! Found your site in the mix of searches and decided this is the best source for a new collector. I’ll give my official thumbs up after some use, but really looking forward to some advise. My partner and I have amazed or hoarded a few thousand rolls and now going through to find the unique ones and I have a box I’m wading through to find if they are unique special or just mundane. Thanks for the help in advance. And looks g forward to reading all the great tips you have posted.

Welcome and will be waiting to see some of your finds.
Few thousand rolls of Wheats, Memorials, Shield or mixture of all? (Or Indian Heads if they apply!!)

Welcome to the forum ! I would begin by looking through the varieties and error sub forums to get a good idea of what to look for. You might even set your searched coins aside for a second look because you are going to learn things the first time through.Comment

A big thanks to the person/people at Coppercoins.com for such a wealth of information -- It amazes me how much information people have collected and stored online.
Just this morning I sat down to make one big list of varieties that concentrates on Denver cents by decade [since D's make up about 98% of what I get] -- that link will help greatly.
Almost forgot! Welcome aboard PS383.
P.S. I imagine you, too, will overwhelmingly find Denvers.Last edited by TPring; 11-18-2017, 09:07 AM.Comment

Great place to learn. As they say, buy the book first. There are several out there on Varieties. Be sure to read about the coins posted on this site as much of the learning curve is sped up here.
