    1924-S Counterfeit

At first I thought this was an unlisted class VI ddr till I realised it was a fake !
Look at the date, nothing right about it .

Yes, it looks fake. It has rims that look off and the date looks off and it has the chip on the wheat ear that a lot of the made in China fakes have.

From a glance at the sellers other stuff, my first thought is maybe a good seller and maybe they just don't know that one is fake. Interesting if someone could "ask a question" and send a link to this thread or to some sites showing that the chip is a well know marker of many fakes and see if they pull it.

Here's a link to lincolncentsonline showing the fake rev: LINK

The sad thing is that there are tons of fakes like that in many dates and from a quick look if you're not on guard they might look ok.

They weren't really made to be good fakes, that's why they didn't care about easy clues like the chip on the rev and the dates aren't done well.
Years ago when ebay was even more lose on letting anything sell these were always listed direct from China and they weren't sold as real. It said something like you can fill your sets with these replicas. The listings would show all the key dates and it said you could get them with or without "copy" on them and said something like we can make any date you want.

I would cringe when I saw the listings. Arghhhhh!

Then there was an article showing a counterfeit factory, may not be the same one that made those but it shows how big and industry it is to make fakes. In the article click the read more to see more pics: LINK

If you want a good laugh -- Check out the app Letgo or the site Etsy.

People selling normal coins for outrageous prices. Others don't even know what types of coins they are selling.

    It is laughable.

As an example: Six silver coins for sale $55 -- Three Eisenhower dollars and three Kennedy halves [$4.50 worth of coins for $55].
