Thank you for the updated photos loquixx! I am sorry but it just looks like a stain. There's also some discoloration on the front in a couple of places. No telling what caused the stain, it could be any number of things that was spilled on it.

Thanks for the follow up pics... I was only able to zoom in to 300% before the pic got to blurry... A lot of that is from a stain... Looks as if there is still some gunk on it as well... That is why is appears to be raised... May be glue or some other real sticky stuff... There also appears to be a crack going from the top of the roof, near the east corner, thru the first A of AMERICA and maybe to the rim... A little hard to tell for sure with the gunk still on the coin!!!

Nice clear images Loquixx. It is odd that it forms two parallel arcs.
Jim, Is that a large die chip above the columns over Lincoln's statue? The "chip" has eliminated the "circular" building detail over 3 or 4 columns.
(also a chip/die damage at the stairs, or is it gunk?)

I see circ wear that has pretty much destroyed the detail on the roof and the steps... There is also a few hits... The tops of B5 and B6 looks like gunk!!!
