Answered: Pair of 78Ds with a weak strike???

I pulled 2 78Ds from 2 different rolls out of the same batch of Loomis rolls I have... They are even the same die (I did a date/MM overlay) and both look to be weak strikes but I am not sure??? They both have what looks to be a secondary rim on the obv and rev that completes a complete 360... I did a 3D image of the north rim (obv ) south side (rev) to show what they look like... I also found a 76D and a 77P from 2 other rolls of the same batch... All comments welcome!!!

  2. "I don't see those as weak strikes Jim. I would say they are normal strikes with maybe a bit of die wear and circulation wear. Weak strikes tend to have mushy devices and not much detail on the profile. Yours seems to have plenty of detail on the profile."
