    1883 "No Cents" Liberty Nickel FS-1302 (RPD-004)

I know she ain't a Lincoln, but I have had better luck cherry picking outside of my favorite series. I was lucky enough to cherry 3 different BU 1963 Washington Quarters that were FS-801 (DDR-004). From everything I can find, it is either a rare variety, or is easily looked over. I sold 2 for a very nice profit and kept one that is practically flawless. If anyone is interested I'll get some images together.

I'm pretty excited about this Liberty Nickel. I got it for $15. The date exhibits a very nice clockwise repunching, with a triple punch on the 1. It has a couple black spots on the reverse, but that didn't seem to bother PCGS much. They gave the one in the link below an MS65 grade. Thanks for lookin'!

Very cool tripling Jay and nice pickup!! I posted one awhile back that I got in a lot of Morgans, had about $31 in it. Yours looks to be a nice MS coin but not sure how high, I have very little background with these Ladies. http://www.lincolncentforum.com/foru...ght=1883+cents

Kinda hard to pass any coin in a PCGS 65 slab from the 1800s for $15.

I probably didn't explain it well GrumpyEd. Mine is raw. I just researched the variety as much as I could, before bidding, while watching it. The black spots worried me a little. I just happened across the PCGS MS65 coin through Coinfacts.

I haven't had a chance to study it closely to determine if it's high AU or MS that wasn't fully struck. I assume AU. I just know there is a light amount of weakness on the hair above the temple and on the bun at the back of the head.
