Unanswered: 1952 cent question.. the date in particular

I was wondering, i had a few cents i was going through just now and i saw that the 2 1952 Ds i have, the date was much wider kind of like the large date 82 compared to the one P 52 that was next to it. what got me was that another 52 P laying there had the large wide date like the 2 1952 Ds

were there multiple date sizes in 1952? i haven't seen anything searching yet so i figured i ask here. the second pic has the different font number 2, it also seems much thinner than the others.

There is variation in how well struck up the date might be, then wear can flatten it and a well struck up date with wear can look wider. But there is only one date size/style for 52-D.
