Is there PSD from the west side of the MM to the north side (the squigly line things)??? I found only one listed RPM on CC http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=eds Comparing yours with the MMS-012 on VV http://varietyvista.com/01b%20LC%20D...k%20Styles.htm yours looks like it could be a later die stage or a weaker punching but being a proof I would think the latter... On VVs MMS-012 sample the inside of both serifs are touching the central portion of the MM and on yours there is a significant gap... Your serifs also do not look as well formed nor does the central portion... With the shape of the ridge to the NW of your primary and it does look slightly attached I would thin it is a RPM and not MD... Maybe time for Bob or one of the other pros to chime in???

Very interesting. I do not know if it's an RPM or not. My gut says it is not though. I would tend to agree with localized MD. Definitely worth holding on to for now. What I would like is if anyone collects Proof Cents, let's see if we can find the same die. Can you identify any markers on that coin? If so, post them and I can have a look at the proofs I have from that year. Finding the same die will substantiate or eliminate many things about this example.

Here are what I think are markers Bob. The only one I'm sure of is the reverse crack on the memorial.

I think those are fine George. I will have a look at the 30 or so proofs I have for that date when I get home.
