    10 RPD
    ~25 mixed RPMs needing attribution
~20 VEDS coins from several dies
    ~5 nice toners
    1 full toned roll

    Will be a fun study...Ray
    Very interesting Ray.

But are you saying you found 10 Repunched Dates? I thought RPD's ended with the Indian cents?

Yes, these "RPD" are controversial but fun. See here:

The RPD always looks impressive in pics but still seems far fetched.

It even has a brother RPD from 1958 that seems far fetched:

I did an overlay study a few years ago that showed the 8/7 does indeed line up correctly to be a true overdate. I think I published it here IIRC.

Thanks Ray and Ed. Now I remember both coins with the links.
(I did remember about the 1956 OMM being controversial/debunked)

I've done an overlay of the 56-D OMM1 showing that the main curve lines up perfectly with the upper curve of a contemporary S mintmark. I plan to make an animation with the overlays and will publish here.

They're both (the RPDs) interesting, both in the same period, both look believable in pics. But both aren't agreed on by all the experts.

I think both also come from multiple dies???

There are many 58/7 dies, but I only know of a single 56 RPD die.
