    1982 p LD Copper DDO?

    Additional Information
    Date: 1982
    Variety: DDO
    Mint: Philadelphia

I found this 1982 large date copper and noticed heavy thickness in GOD WE as well as LIB.
There appears to be a notch in the top left corner of the B. The closest I could find is wexler's wddo-004 but the markers do not match. With the right light I can see some separation on the B and the R like his images also.
I see lots of die abrasions from polishing but not much in the way of die flow lines.
I hope it's not a case of wishful thinking that it is a DDO. Thanks for looking and sharing your thoughts. Cliff
(I'll include images of Liberty in the next post)

I'm not sure on this one Cliff. I do kind of see what you are talking about on LIBERTY though. All 7 of the 82's have become nothing but a nightmare for me though! I'm always thinking I've got something...

I agree with Jon on these! I'm not going to get excited again about another 82P unless the letters of Liberty are huge and running together with no spaces (and it's not from PSD) or its' CC Die 2 with the awesome doubling at the bottom of Liberty. Sorry, not trying to rain on your parade or say what you have isn't a DD, I'm really not sure.

Thanks all. (And I don't consider it rain Viv.)
The thickness on LIBERTY and lack of definitive markers was what was making me waiver on this one. Just couldn't see for sure but WE really got my attention.

Thank you Cliff! Glad you are understanding my frustration with the 82P doubled die. There are not many DD's on my total aggravation list, but this is one of them! Just makes you more determined to find one though!

Well Viv, you were right about being determined to find one. And it was right under my nose. In hand, the one in this thread stood out so ............

I sent this to John Wexler and this was his reply

    "Hello Cliff,
I have processed the coins that you submitted for attribution in a package postmarked May 18, 2018

Coin #1 is 1982 1¢ WDDO-001 which is a new replacement listing for my files..........
    .........

Congratulations on the new listing. It will be illustrated on the appropriate page of my website the next time that I update the site. ........

    Sincerely,
    John A. Wexler"

I have been holding off posting his attribution waiting for the updated site to see his images but didn't want this one to escape others if they came across one.

Thanks to all for the comments and encouragement. Cliff

Edit: Checked his site after posting and there it was.
