Curiosity got me to look through nearly a whole tube of VDB's and just from this limited exam. I found a number of coins with one or two dots missing (not because of wear) and several with all three missing. Clearly, the dots get clogged easily. I'll post a picture of a very clean all three missing coin if needed for analyses.

LOL. I cannot believe how clearly the dot after V shows up in the reverse pic. It is not visible in hand except when a shadow is cast on the coin and even then very faintly. As you can see in the third picture, it does not appear. Anyway, I do have other less attractive ones that are missing all dots but I thought this one would not be compromised by wear.

Can barely see the dot in your close up... Only because I can compare it with your full rev image Nice looking coin!!!
