I think 1999 or 2000 was the around the last year they still shipped cents in $50 bags from the mint so odd shape/size errors could get out easier than after that since the odd ones get caught by the rolling operations putting bricks together.

I still have a hard time navigating on this site and keeping my password up to date, so I was delayed in replying. I bought this coin in a small lot with an odd assortment of coins a few years back, but never looked at it very closely. There was a world coin in the lot that I really wanted. I'll keep this one!
