    Not a cud. Appears to be extra metal from a hit folded over the edge.

    That is cool... I can not tell for sure but that looks like it could be a retained struck thru??? It looks like I can see the tops of the letters??? Is there a gap between the metal and the field???

    Looks like a folded over rim fin, you could lift it with your fingernail or a small pick.

    Nice pics Ken! It looks like it could have come from the rim like enamel, Cliff and Ed said. It does kinda look like the rim is missing a part of the metal at that spot. But it also looks like it could be a struck through like Jim said. These little Lincoln's can be confusing!
