Error Other | 1982 odd C and A in AMERICA

Ok, my eyes are not working right like usual. Interesting error. I don't see any damage on the rim. IMG_6674.JPG IMG_6671.JPG IMG_6669.jpg IMG_6663.jpg IMG_6662.jpg IMG_6660.jpg

    What's the weight Sheila.
If it is zinc it might be some type of plating blisters.
Otherwise it is probably a die gouge.

It's copper. 3.11 I just like the way it looks. I have been out for a while due to me having many episodes of not being able to see straight and having zero balance. I have been hospitalized twice for it. Last Sunday most recent. Still no answers.

Nice to hear from you Sheila!! I think you have damage on the "C" and die deterioration on either side of the "A". Hope the family Is doing well!

Thank you! I kinda knew it was die damage, because it's odd looking. I can't get the right angle and lighting to get the full effect of the damage. Grrr!! Lol! I miss everyone and I miss being able to search much these days.

Sorry to hear about the health issues still badgering you. Hope those Docs can get it figured out.

You do have remnants of a clash in the area, judging by the polishing lines. Wonder if it could be related to the clash.

Just above to the left of the FG looks like some clash. I just can't get it to show up enough on the pictures.

Hey there Sheila! I am sorry that you are still having some vision and health issues and hope you get answers soon so that you can get better!

I'm on the same boat as Jon on the hit to the C but I'm wondering if the A is from the die clash. Parts of the folds of the vest might line up around that A if it were a clash. Since you have the coin in hand you could compare the clash marks to Jason's overlay and see if something else matches up. Here is a link to maddieclashes.com overlay http://www.maddieclashes.com/one-cent-overlays/

Glad to see you back on... I don't see any thing - Oh wait that's just my eyes I have coke bottle bottoms for glasses I hope you get to feeling better soon... Not good to have all that going on... To me the area on the C looks like some sort of gunk... At the different angles some of it appears transparent... On the A with the abrasions in the area I think some one at the mint slipped with their grinder and gouged the die... Doing a quick comparison I do not see anything that would indicate that area is from a clash!!!

Thank you!! Did get a phone call from the eye specialist last week. I have seen 3 of them. The lady that called me said that they all agree that the problem is NOT my eyes. They seem to be pretty sure that it is neurological. I have to wait to see if I qualify for the help because I am broke and I lost my insurance when my husband got a new job. I can't get on disability unless I get a solid diagnosis. I just pray that I get approved. I have exhausted every single program that assists with medical and none of them assist with my particular problems. South Carolina does not have the assistance that some states do.

Maybe you just need to have a cold one Since your vision is already acting up a few cold ones should clear it up If not then you won't care anyway Is there any way to get help from the federal level???

Lol!! I could most definitely use a few cold ones!! I have no idea how to go about going to a federal level. I don't qualify for Medicaid.

Sheila we are all pulling for you to get a quick resolve to all of this you are having to go through! This might sound crazy but, have you had your thyroid tested? A friend of mine had similar symptoms you've had like sensitivity to bright light, vision disturbances and dizzy spells and it ended up being her thyroid. I don't know much about how fast doctor's are when it comes to determining disability but I imagine it is a pretty long process. Surely with three doctor's agreeing on the same thing it won't be much longer.

I do believe that they did test my thyroid. I will have to ask. I have had 2 CAT scans, an EEG, EKG and have seen 3 specialists. I just need to know what is going on. When I have an episode, it can last anywhere from 30 minutes to all day. I see multiple images and I have zero balance. I rarely get to leave my house now because they are so random and much more often. It is pretty scary.

Okay, just wondered because I was going to ask you the other day but it sounds like they have really put you through the tests. That is scary that you don't know when you are going to start feeling that way, plus having little ones to take care of. It's probably best to not venture out without your hubby until all this settles. Thank you for the updates, we are all hoping for the best for you and your family.
