    Unanswered: 1982 D

    1982 D weight 3.2 grams. with the loupe the 2 looked doubled. But under magnification the 8 an 2 looked smashed. just wanted to double check. thanks

    You did good actually... You recognized the PSD under magnification... Some times with a loupe there is no way to tell for sure that is where a scope comes in handy... Most folks here have a lot of patience... We all started out the same as you a NEWBIE When I first started looking at coins in earnest everything was a variety and I still go back to that at times You'll learn in your own time and it can take a while... I moved your thread to Collector Q&A!!!


    Added - Looks like the 1 and 9 also took a hit!!!

    Also, look NE of the top of 1. There is a longer contact mark looking like it was part of the PSD damage to the 1.
