Most eye appeal while highy abraded.

While this coin is highly abraded, and has a ridge ring, it is quite possibly the best looking coin I have found in roll searching. Given all it's issues, it is very well struck and has fantastic looking tones to it.

    Thanks for looking, Jon.

That must have been sitting in some ones drawer for a long time... The only real plating issues look to be on the rev and only in a few spots... Well struck for an 87... I am surprised at the ridge ring on the obv NW side... The VDB has very little missing from the letters which normally indicates an earlier stage??? I wonder if the abrasion/polishing work caused the ring to develop prematurely???

Added - The issues on the rev SW edge look to be related to the obv ridge ring???

Yeah, I thought it was odd that it was struck so boldly, with all of the other issues and the tone just caught my eye.
