That entire eBay page has been removed. I don't know if it means the right thing was done or not, but I suspect eBay pulled it.

For what ever it is worth I sent an email to the seller with a link to the PCGS web site so they could see what a real one looks like.
The seller only has one sale the past year (a beer label?) so I started off by suggesting since he does't sell many he might not be familiar with the number style used and suggested he do the right thing and cancel the auction. Lets see if he replies or cancels the auction.
I tried to message the guy in a similar fashion first but got an error message that it didn't go through. So I just reported it. I have shotty wi-fi sometimes so it may have been on my end...or Devine intervention! If I would have gotten those replies I would have gotten pissed off, probably sent something I shouldn't have, and got in trouble with eBay. Thanks for your effort friend! I couldn't stand the thought of someone getting hosed on that coin. Still shows how many just throw money around without knowing anything about what they are buying. So sad!

It's a poor attitude, pass the expense and waste of time to buyers. On top of that, someone buys and does not know much they give feedback, the clock ticks away the return/ebay/paypal time and grading can take weeks/month depending how soon they send it in. By the time they get it graded it might be too late and they've invested time and money.

I messaged him also and he asked how I could be sure without seeing it in hand. Same old story about buying it years ago. He is either a con artist or didn't want to admit he got taken years ago.

While I do not condone what this guy does, it is a dog-eat-dog world out there and I am reminded of a latin phrase 'caveat emptor.'

Sometimes people need to learn a lesson the hard way and a few hundred bucks is not a life's savings [hopefully].

Educating yourself before you commit to buying is your best weapon against such types as this seller.

On a side note, ebay allows you to withdraw bidding on items so they have time to back out.

And of course the old saying, "If it sounds to good to be true.."

So true. People just bidding Willy Nilly but I think this guy just didn't want to know so he could unload it and let someone else deal with the fake.
