There are a couple of doubled dies that have a doubled "L" in LIBERTY but I cannot make out your pic. When I enlarge it gets fuzzy.

You'll need better pics to ID that one.
Most of the time that extra bar is a DDO.

If it's die-5 you're lucky, it's a tough one to find and sort of easily missed:

And it could even be a different one maybe not listed.

Also look around for any signs of MD but those bars are often DDOs.

I'd wait until you get a lens and check out the motto and see if the L has the doubling on the horizontal and go from there.

Cool... Would be nice to have a new 72 DDO after 46 years... Hopefully you get your macro lens and stabilizer soon... Your close up of the date is interesting... Appears to be a little knub north off the 2s horizontal bar??? I am not sure tho due to some of the damage in that area??? Did you check for the more minor DDOs??? Wexler has a few http://doubleddie.com/384301.html so does CC http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=mds http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=eds http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=mds and VV has a couple http://varietyvista.com/01b%20LC%20D...DDO%201972.htm

And the little something going on in the inside top curl of the 2.
I'm not sure if normal ones have it or not (maybe someone can check?) but it seems to be similar on ones with doubling on the 2s tail.

To me that looks more like MD??? There appears to be a ramp down into the area from south of the loop and that area looks more like it cuts into the size and does not increase it???

It may be MD, shallow step and not really adding to it but it seems like there is something similar on some of the ones with tails so I'm not sure.

I saw that but to me most of those appeared to add a little heft to the device... Like you I'm not 100% sure tho!!!
