2015 P Nebraska Quarter Die Chip?
I have seen a few Nebraska Quarters with problems on the cabin's roof edge similar to the die chips on top of the Shield in Lincoln Cents. I would say too many for the amount of that particular Quater I have seen, so I guess they are very common. This one however, became interesting as it has a different shape and it's bigger that the others I have seen so far.
Do you think it's actually a die chip or is it something else I might not be aware of?
Thanks,
Adrian

I don't know how to do overlays for this quarter but I wonder if this particular chip might be from a clash weakening the die in that area enough that it chipped out.
Do you see any signs of a clash?
Are the chips you have noticed in the same area or all along the roof line?

I though about a clash also Cliff, it's too perfect for a chip... I inspected the coin; but can't find any other signs of a clash, neither abrasions. I don't have enough experience to detect that though. It resembles a hair curl to me.. Washington's pony tail is about in that area on the obverse; but does not match the location exactly... Clash with a rotated die? Can't tell.
The other chips I have noticed are all anywhere along the roof line.
Thanks,
Adrian

Found coop's overlay here. What you have looks like a nice die chip to me, maybe big enough for an IDB? Have you sent it to JC yet?
It could be related to a clash, over abrading the die in that area like Cliff said... the back of the bust is in that general location.

If you've noticed them in many areas of the roof line it probably has more to do with the design, similar to the edge of the shield as you mentioned.

Yes Cliff; but this one caught my attention because of it's unusual wave like shape.
Here are pics of another I found with the prob I mentioned before along the roof. There are some in the left side of the roof also; but it's almost impossible to see it in the pics...
Thanks

Yes, it has to be a die chip and perhaps it will qualify as an IDB as you mentioned. I will send it to JC; but don't know if the pics will be OK. Let's see.
No, I haven't checked for DDRs yet.
Thank you Jim,
Adrian
I had noticed the second coin also has the die chip under the bucket.
