    Attaching Pics

I'm wondering if using a cell phone is what causes some photo attachments to not be "attached" below the original message, but it's as if the attachments are imbedded in the message.

It's not a huge thing, but when the photos are "imbedded" then everyone who views them has to remember to click the back button or we exit the forum.

If the photos are "attached" then on my computer they open up in a different tab, just click the X to close that tab, and keep looking at pics. Or you can leave those tabs open and go back and forth looking at the pics.

Either way, is fine.. but the "attachment" way is easier... I think... to maneuver around with.

Here's how to "attach" your pics, please let me know if this is not possible on a cell phone, then we will know why.

    Type your thread message
    Click the paper clip icon
    Click "Add Files"
    Click "Choose File"
(find the file on your computer or phone)
    Upload it
(it will show up in the window/box below)
(repeat the above until you have loaded all the pics you want to, you can even move the pics around in the window/box if you want them in a specific order, just click and drag the pics)
    Click "Done"
    Click "Submit New Thread"

Okay, thank you for letting me know! Sorry, I don't use my phone for this so I didn't realize the paper clip is in a different spot!

Thanks Viv because I've been caught in that "back button reset" vortex myself.

Viv, Do we need to press "Go Advanced" the very first thing when adding images with this method?
(BTW- there is no "Paperclip" visible on my computer with a Quick Reply.)

It's funny because I never noticed the "Paperclip" Icon/button.
I always go to "Additional Options" below the box, for entering text, and click on "Manage Attachments" and pretty much follow your procedure.

    The two images I've included:
1)2011 DDO Date- Paperclip method (Clicked "Done" at the end)
2)2011 DDO EPU Shield "Manage Attachments" method (No "Done" at the end)

(I'm curious to see what actually occurs online.)

Let's see what happens with "Manage Attachments" by itself (No "Done" button)

    (
In "Preview", it seems like it added the image properly )

Edit: Yep, works properly with no "back arrow button" needed to stay on the forum.

Here is one from my phone.
(No "Paperclip" icon unless you press "Go Advanced")
This image is with the "Paperclip" method.
    (BTW Her name is Olivia.)

My apologies to sensei Jon for not resizing this image. Rats.

    Edit: Resized and done.
(My process to resize is a bit drawn out on the phone but worth it.)

Olivia is such a pretty Cocker Spaniel, they are such sweet dogs!

Okay... it started getting a little confusing, but every one of the posts you did worked where the attachments were separate from the message. No back arrow button required to stay on the forum.

When I try to piece it all together it seems like:

On a phone, first you have to click Go Advanced to see the paper clip...

    is that right Cliff?

Yes, on the phone and my PC!
They both require "Go Advanced" to see the paper clip or manage attachments.
