If I were you, I would just set coins like this aside until you are able to take better pics because it really needs to be up close for us to be able to see better.
Looks like a hit (PSD) to me also... What ever caused it gouged out and displaced some of the metal mostly to the west... That is why it is raised on the west side... Hope that helps a bit!!!
