Folks need to understand this coin in MS and AU grades is not that common. It was a work horse coin after the release of the 1917 cents which had been held in Bank vaults until economic and WWI issues were well underway. MS examples are greatly un appreciated. You got a nice example there. Enjoy it.

Definitely a well struck coin with relatively "fresh" dies. A lot of coins have details similar to an over used die from 1922.

Those are awesome photos of a gorgeous coin... Now for a question - Is it me or doe US UNUM look much thicker than the rest of EPU the dot appears elongated also??? Any insight would be helpful!!!

The second dot might be elongated but I think the first lower part of the first U of UNUM is lighting.
I think any extra thickness would need to show up in more areas to be considered a DDR.

Jim this is the 1918-D you looked @ in late June early July. I believe you thought it wasn't a DDR.
