Hard to tell from the images but it looks like a wide AM to these tired eyes.

Thank you for the post Glade, very interesting! I'm with Cliff... couldn't focus on the reverse image enough to tell for sure. Surely the buyer requested close up images? Why didn't the CLAM get shown on the PCGS label?

Added: Are there other CLAM's reported on a 1992S Proof? I've never heard of one before.

I'm not at all convinced from the listing that it's a clam or that they exist on the 92 proof.
If they did, it would be a new discovery.

That is a pretty 92S... The link that came up from your posting showed the bidding had ended on a 92D CLAM??? I got this when I clicked the 92D pic https://www.ebay.com/itm/1992-D-Linc....m43663.l44720 The 92D went for $1583.90!!!

Added - On the 92S wouldn't PCGS have pics of it???

    Added - It is a WAM http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/93503

    Confusing.

Jim, just looking up by coin number only tells us that it (the 92-S proof) was graded normally, they have no coin number for a 92-S CLAM so that wouldn't tell us anything since they don't attribute stuff for free. The only way to see would be coin look up with the cert number (not the generic coin number) so you see true views if it has them then you could tell. But it has no true view so you only see this for that cert number 84659625:
    https://www.pcgs.com/cert/84659625

Also, it says that the 92-S auction was ended but didn't sell and it's relisted for $1200:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/1992-S-Proo...d=173676690879

The seller is either wrong about it or it's a big discovery coin. You'd think if it was, it would be sent for attribution as a discovery piece and be in the news. I'm doubtful about it based on the goofy image and not being verified/attributed.
