I've been talking to a friend of mine about my newest hobby. Today we had coffee together and he brought a baggie with about 30 pennies with him. Mostly 60's and 70's. I had told him about the 1983 copper so he had a couple of them in the bag as well. I told him I would look through them, not of course expecting anything, when I came across a 1983 die clash. I mean this is really strong. The back not so much and I can't quite make out what's going on - hoping you guys can help with that.
Thanks: Lou
Another awesome clash! I would give that an acetone bath and see if any of that gunk comes off.

Looks like the acetone bath did nothing, too bad. It kinda looks like wax. Could I heat it with a heat gun and blot the wax off with a paper towel? Told my buddy I'd give it to him, but he may not want it.
