    1958D Small Die crack

    Nice little die crack between the bust to the mintmark...

    It's a "launching D!" Is it raised? It looks like it in the pic. If raised, then die crack/gouge. . If incuse, most likely damage

    This is a die crack. It is known about as quite a few years ago, it was debated as to if it was a crack or possible RPM. It is most definitely a crack.

    Yes raised... after examining it more, there are two raised areas... iffy on a 3rd. The surface in between the two for sure ones, stays the same as what's on the sides of each, being the same level. Launching D, I've heard that before somewhere
