Regarding copyrights, you don't actually need permission from the owner to publish the image provided you follow a couple simple rules:
1) The use is for educational purposes with no commercial gain
2) You attribute the photo to the copyright owner
The use under the above conditions is covered by "Fair Use" and is perfectly fine.
