I just thought I would share some pics of this 2012 with NW trails to the top, mainly on Liberty. Found it a few days ago. Same box where a lot of the 'new' 2019-D's were in.
Very nice find, those are some strong trails!! I think you are right about it being 2012P-1DEO-022T, (http://www.traildies.com/2012p-1deo_021-030/) . The listing shows reverse trails also and I think I might see them in your second reverse pic. The reverse could have been possibly changed out though, because I think your obverse is a later die stage, given the large chip on the forehead that is not shown in the listing. See if you can get some pics of the areas on the reverse that are shown in the listing.
makecents, thank you. Well, here are some psychedelic pics of the reverse. I don't know how the people at traildies took all those pictures, because my eyes right now are completely out of their sockets and spinning in circles on a bouncing spring.
Very nice job spotting this trail die Camelia and very good photos! It takes just the right amount of light, direction of light to see these, and they are really hard to photograph! I'm leaning toward 022T as being a good match but I have a couple of reservations that the guys can help us with. One is, I'm not really good with angles, I think the angle of the trails at Liberty is very close but I would feel better if the guys check that for us. Also, another thing I noticed is you may have trails at US-TRUST (your photo #104 in your first post). Those trails are not mentioned in the listing, but I am not sure if yours are trails or caused from a plating disturbance. One way you can tell if it's plating disturbance is look at the surface of the plating at US and see if you see ridges in that area because sometimes those plating ridges can look like trail lines. The reverse trail line that I could find in your pics that look similar to 022T is the one above N-UNITED (your photo #129 in your second group of photos). Let's see what the guys think about the degree of the trails on yours at Liberty.
Thanks, Viv, that is very thorough.
I assume the surface plating you mentioned would look something like thin blisters? Or maybe even some sort of abrasions.
Yah, all that moving the coin around, and the light to see, while also trying to take pictures --can put you in a sauna sweat.
I think I lost a pound just looking at that penny. And by the second round of pictures of the reverse (...and you can thank makecents for that ) -- I lost 2 more pounds.

Thanks for the extra pics!! You will need to have a big breakfast to get that weight back! I still feel your attribution is correct but maybe Will can chime in and let us know for sure.
Viv, I was looking through some 2012's I had kept, and some new ones I found today (not in great shape), and I can see why you mentioned the plating. Some of them, if you look first hand, seem like they have trails from Liberty, when it's actually just some blistering or rolling going on; throughout the left side mostly.
I noticed with the trails, when magnified, there is a little pointed peak right off the letter.
Good morning Camelia! Hope you have had a big breakfast! You have done a great job with these follow up pics! I'll send Will a quick PM to see if he can take a look and confirm if it's 022T! Yours looks very close and I am wondering about TRUST since that is not shown in the listing.
Nice find... I looked thru the listings on Trail Dies and I think yours may be a new listing... I compared especially with the 340 and 350 degree listings... Yours appear to be angled in the middle at about 345 degrees???
Jim (A.K.A. Elmer Fudd) Be verwy verwy quiet... I'm hunting coins!!! Good Hunting!!!

Thank you Jim! I was wondering about that but couldn't tell. A few days ago I sent Will a PM to ask him to take a look for us, thinking it might be a new listing too with what looks like trails at US of TRUST. Now we will wait for Will LOL
