1950-S W042A and an indention on the rear

    Additional Information
    Date: 1950

    Morning Everyone,
The RPM is Wexler 042 Stage "A". I noticed an indention on the REV in the Wheat. Is this just PSD?
    Thanks, Eric

Nothing extra on the OBV or I would have posted it. Here you go

Looks like smaller indents in the field around the round area so I'm leaning towards PSD.
Hard to tell for sure without a full obverse to see for corresponding flatness.

I'm not sure without a closeup of the area. It looks to be in relief and there is an area just southeast but still attached to the larger anomaly that would make me think a possible die chip. I have seen things similar to this on wheats that almost look like a blob of melted copper that was dropped on the coin.

Nice looking coin... I think yours crosses to CCs 022??? As for the rev I think it is a struck thru??? Best I can tell the edges appear sharp and there is no sign of that portion of the stalk in the hole??? With the depth of the hole if this were PSD I would expect corresponding damage on the obv??? Is the AME of AMERICA damaged or is that a struck thru grease area???
