Unanswered: 1958 Penny only the hair crack?

I was wondering if there is anything else you see on this 58 besides the hair crack. Has a nice reddish-orangey color, and besides some of the spots, I think it's in pretty nice condition.

Very nice looking, well struck coin but nothing other than some good cracks, which you captured quite well.

Nothing really besides a bit thick lettering. Or maybe, like you said -- well struck.

Look at your pic #171 of LIBERTY. You can see some nice die wear lines at the rim. Die deterioration will lend to thicker letters and may be what you are seeing.

I see what you're saying. I was looking in comparison with some other 58's I just had here on the table. And the lettering just seemed off; even not as close to the rim either (but that can be anything). Haha, those other ones must be in worse shape then.

Nice looking coin... What Jon said plus some die abrasions/scratches on both dies... The crack along the bottom has lite reflection along the rims inside... Can you get a pic with out the reflection??? Just want to make sure there is no shift where the crack meets the rim!!!
