    1994 P extreme rotated die.

    Additional Information
    Date: 1994

Found this guy today, my first extreme rotated die. It's already got the zinc rot going but will probably keep it anyway.

I added a very crude marked up pic that shows it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 165 degree clockwise rotation.

Thanks, everybody! This was a fun find, it just stinks the coin is in such bad condition.

Excellent find even in its current shape... If you can't get verdi-care try WD-40... A thin layer dabbed off with a clean cotton cloth will prevent further deterioration... I copied and flipped your pic with the degrees orientation (yours thru me for a loop)... I can remove mine it if you wish just let me know!!!

Thanks for checking it out, Jim! Not sure why the flip though, that is not it's true orientation but medal orientation.

It's a well-known "variety error." I have one in an anacs holder labeled 165 degrees.
If you do a forum search for 1994 rotated die, you'll find about 50 threads on this coin. Mike Diamond says there are 2 different positions verified, one clockwise, and one counterclockwise, both in the 165 to 170 degree range.
