    1958 D Die Clash

    Additional Information
    Date: 1958 D

I know it's nothing major, but I do enjoy finding "something" to break the monotony.

    maddieclashes.com has only one listing for a typical die clash on the 1958 D -- TDC-1c-1958D-01 .

The clash on this cent is limited to part of the N from the word CENT under the chin. I don't see any evidence of a clash on the reverse.

    Thanks for looking.

They're good for breaking up the monotony.

For sure. But would be very nice for the next one to be something a little more exciting...like a 92 CAM or a strong Doubled Die

Cool! Yeah, that is one of the things I try to preach to people, new to searching, the more you know is out there, the more you will find. These types of things help get you to the next biggie!

Not sure if yours is the same die as the listing. The mm location looks close but I think yours is slightly more southeast. You can see where yours has been abraded heavily, taking away what may have been more clashing on both the obverse and reverse.

Preach on! Because the die abrasions are approximately where the clash is on the mad die clashes listing, I did a crude overlay and it would be very close, but I'm not convinced it is the same die. I'm not good with overlays, though. To me, the MM on my cent seems a little more tilted.

Nice clash find... I do not think yours is the same as the listed clash on MDC as yours clash mark at the neck is farther east over the bowtie and near vertical and the listed clash has a slight NW tilt!!!

Does the MM on mine seem a little more tilted than the MDC example to you?
