I remember something like that down here around the time of the big crash (2010?) Sort of like a traveling pawn shop with no skin in the local economy.
Usually held at a hotel by the highway and looking to pick stuff from sellers that must be motivated or un-informed, because I heard the prices offered were low-ball.
If you go, know what the value is before they make an offer so you can see how their offer compares.
(Ask them right off the bat to see their local occupational license, to see if they start to sweat!
)
