It appears that VV is the only site that has this variety.
Nice Class 2 + 5 doubling in the motto that was visible from the seller's pics [hopefully it comes through on the pic that is posted]. I also included a magnified pic of the O in GOD that shows the doubling.
I found a marker [die dot] on the I in LIBERTY that I used to help verify which ddo it was. Other markers are on the 9 and 5 of the date. The N of IN has a notch on the bottom of the right leg and even the R in TRUST has a notch at the end of the leg. Unfortunately, the ddr [ddr-5] at stage B is quite minor so I'm not sure that this copy has it.
Nice pick in deed. As you know most proof photos are horrible. And thats because they are tough to photograph in the first place. So anytime you get a decent pic and can see markers on a proof someone is selling and you can spot markers you are looking for is nothing short of a miracle.
Great snag! I have a really hard time with some of the class 2 DDR's anyway and a super hard time with the proof DDR's, as they are generally more subtle. This one could have the DDR and I would not have a clue.
Yes, proof cent pics are often problematic: Luckily this seller appears to have good equipment. The seller's pics allowed me to zoom in and see quite a bit so I used them since I can't take good full shots. I can get decent close-ups, but that's about it with my microscope -- Just need to adjust lighting a bit to catch the notching.
Digital imaging on these coins provides a wealth of information, some good some bad. For instance, the die dot on the I is almost invisible when looking at it in hand, but seems obvious in the pic. On the negative side, the imperfections seem much worse.
By the looks of the fields and the lack of die flow lines I am guessing this is EDS-MDS [and, unfortunately, without the DDR].
