Sometimes it better to be lucky... [1930s RPM1]

    Additional Information
    Date: 1930
    Variety: RPM
    Mint: San Francisco
    Coneca: 1
    FS#: 501
    Coppercoins: 1

The regional coin show is having its spring fling. Picked up this 1930-S because its date and mint mark seemed a bit peculiar.

Once I got it home under better lighting, I realized that it is actually RPM-1, but at a later die stage.

Not easy to get pics of the secondary and the die scratch from the U in TRUST. Also appears to have some sort of ridge running through EPU so maybe a late stage marker.

    Brown, still with some luster.

Also at the show, one of the first tables I checked out had a half-price box with some flipped coins in it.

One was a 1972P labeled doubled die for $27 and had the old fs# for ddo-4 [33.54] -- That got my attention.
After checking it out with my loupe I realized it only had the master die doubling on it, oh well.
