They are better than nothing, that being said, I disliked them, if you can save up for an AmScope or something similar.

I have a Celestron --- It is better than nothing and an OK starting point... I screwed the base down and that goes a long way to steadying the camera.... That has helped focus. I plant to start using it more for close shot with a bit more confidence. But i see upgrade in the very near future
